☀︎ DIY Camera Filters! ☀︎

So, if you are new to my blog, or have been reading from the start - I love photography! *Details on camera at bottom of post* Unfortunately, I have no good filters on my camera. To edit my photos for Instagram, I have to import the photos from my camera to my laptop, then send them to my iPad, for which I edit the pictures on. I add a couple of filter, and then border it white. *In case you're wondering, I use the app 'Afterlight'* Takes a while... you get the point.

I was browsing the internet, trying to find some DIY camera filters, and I came across some that I had the materials for, and looked easy to make! I made them, took some pictures with the DIY filter on, and they turned out to be really good!
I thought they were good enough to share, so that is exactly what I'll be doing! Let's go:

DIY Filter 1 : Soft Focus Filter

Materials : Neutral-coloured tights + an elastic band.

→ Stretch the tights over the lens, and secure it with an elastic band. (Look weird, I know, but bare with me.)

Here are my results :

DIY Filter 2 : Colour Gradient Effect

Materials : Plastic + coloured sharpies.

→ Colour onto the plastic. When taking the photo, hold the plastic in front of the lens. If you have a bigger piece of plastic, you can secure it onto the lens with an elastic band.

Here are my results :

The camera I use is a Nikon DLSR - D3200, 18-55mm.
